Owner Bruce McKinley continues to guide the company he founded, carefully maintaining the standards upon which the company was built.
Bruce E. McKinley~OwnerAs a computer consultant in the late 1980s Bruce discovered an area that confounded many small business owners....payroll preparation and taxes. Thus began Payroll Solution. With a lot of energy and a desire to provide highly personalized friendly support to the small business owner, Bruce opened Payroll Solution in Northern California in January 1990. Soon the company began to grow as satisfied clients encouraged their associates to hire Payroll Solution to handle their payroll needs. Although appreciating the steady growth of the company under Bruce's uncompromising guidance, the intent to provide user friendly, personalized service remains Payroll Solution's primary goal.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University Sacramento. Shortly after graduation, he discovered that his skill set was a perfect fit for accounting and bookkeeping which he began to study and teach. With a respected Enrolled Agent as his mentor, Bruce began to provide accounting services for small companies. As businesses began to computerize, Bruce trained accounting personnel to convert their accounting systems to computer. Attention to detail and a sincere desire to be of service characterize Bruce's business philosophy. Under his guidance and devotion Payroll Solution is now entering its 19th year providing payroll services.
Bruce has special respect for the small business owner. He appreciates the hard work and sacrifice required to start and maintain a small business. He feels that each company serving the small business owner is part of the team that contributes to that company's success. Always true to his goal, Bruce guides the company as an excellent example and leader. An avid sports fan, Bruce has spent many years volunteering as a children’s coach, most recently serving as a youth basketball coach at the Sacramento downtown YMCA.
Susan McKinley~Owner
A founding member of the team, Susan has been involved in every aspect of the business since its inception. From advertising to customer support, Susan's participation has been consistent and extremely valuable. Although supporting every aspect of the business, Susan focuses a great deal of her efforts on advertising and business development.
With a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in History and English and a teaching credential, Susan left her career as a high school teacher to work full time in the business, filling in wherever needed. Susan is responsible for much of the bookkeeping and clerical duties.
Always interested in promoting education for children, Susan created the Reading Buddies, a successful program that couples retired senior citizens with first graders designed to share the pleasure of reading while offering mutual support. Susan spent many years working as a volunteer tutor and classroom assistant, a Reading Buddy and was an active member and officer in the PTA.
Lisa Zwilling ~Executive Payroll Specialist
In addition to her outstanding understanding and capability in the payroll industry, Lisa exemplifies the foundational values upon which Payroll Solution was founded. Lisa possesses all of the skills necessary to successfully and accurately run the company’s daily operations. She is perceptive, dependable, an effective problem solver and is an excellent communicator.
One of the many things that make Lisa not only an outstanding payroll specialist but also an outstanding person is her active involvement as a volunteer for the Special Olympics. Additionally she pursues and excels in every educational opportunity available to her. A lover of all things mathematic, Lisa is quick, accurate and disciplined. A master multi-tasker, Payroll Solution is fortunate to have a payroll specialist of Lisa’s caliber managing the daily company operations. In every way we are grateful and proud to have Lisa partnering with and representing Payroll Solution.
